Presenter Guidelines
Oral Presentations
All oral presentations will be uploaded to and presented from the two local computers in the meeting room.
There will be two local computers available: one PC (Windows) and one Macintosh (Mac OS). Presentations should be created in the following formats:
- MS Windows: Microsoft PowerPoint, Acrobat PDF
- Macintosh: Microsoft PowerPoint, Acrobat PDF, Apple Keynote
It is imperative that each presenter makes a test run of his/her presentation in a local computer to make sure that the material appears as desired. For this reason we kindly request that presentations are uploaded on the day prior to the respective talks at the latest. A PDF version of their presentation will be linked and archived in the ADS, in place of proceedings.
Talk durations: depending on the presentation, presenters and Session Chairs are kindly requested to adhere to the following rule:
- Invited contribution: 40 minutes total
(30 minutes of presentation + 10 minutes of discussion/questions) - Contributed talk: 20 minutes total
(15 minutes of presentation + 5 minutes of discussion/questions)
Poster Presentations
All posters should be made to A0-paper size (118.9 cm x 84.1 cm or 46.8 x 33.1 inches), using the orientation portrait.
The LOC is offering a poster printing service (at 35 euros per poster), so that presenters do not have to carry and mount their posters. If you wish to use this service, please download, complete and return the following order form and a PDF version of your poster before the deadline on [day month year] at hh:mm GMT. The order form is available both in Word and PDF format.
Note that a PDF version of each poster presentation will be requested in place of proceedings, to be linked and archived in the ADS.
